Neuroprogression

Research focused on the development of computational tools for assessing the progression of non-genetic neurodegenerative diseases using biomarkers. The project involves the collection and recording of clinical data, analysis of correlations between biomarkers, phenotypes, and disease stages, as well as the development of computational software for personalized evaluation of disease progression.

Neuroeducation

Enhancement of cognitive abilities in individuals with Mild Cognitive Impairment through a measurable behavioral study. Using electrophysiological data from brain activity recordings, targeted interventions are designed, and tools are developed to support memory improvement, strengthen cognitive skills, and restore cognitive deficits.

Neurotrial

Study of clinical trial protocols incorporating computational biomarkers for non-genetic neurodegenerative diseases. The goal is to investigate the feasibility and potential benefits of using these biomarkers, identify the most relevant and informative markers for different disease types, and evaluate their ability to monitor disease progression and predict treatment outcomes.

Neuropharma

Study of pharmacological protocols for the treatment of non-genetic neurodegenerative diseases using computational biomarkers. The aim is to identify the most effective therapies and evaluate how computational biomarkers can be used to monitor disease progression, predict treatment outcomes, and assess patient response.

FOLDIT

Development of Research Infrastructure at the Ionian University for the Study of Protein Folding in Neurodegenerative Diseases. The project aims to detect and study the folding and aggregation of selected protein motifs involved in relevant pathological mechanisms, combining specialized experimental techniques, such as atomic force microscopy, with modern computational approaches. Special emphasis is placed on the morphology, spatial distribution, and temporal evolution of protein aggregates, as well as on determining the minimum time required for their reliable imaging.

BIODIANEA

The project aims to carry out industrial research and development of a biochip, with a particular focus on its application for the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Parkinson's disease. The biochips will be integrated with data processing and decision support systems to establish a comprehensive platform for disease risk assessment and diagnosis. Experimental and pilot activities will be conducted to ensure the highest level of operational readiness.
