Master Class on computational models for dementia


New perspectives and research on Alzheimer’s and related diseases were presented during the 6th Congress of the Hellenic Dementia Society, Master Classes in Dementia 2019, organized in partnership with Alzheimer Athens.

In his keynote lecture at the opening ceremony, Dr. Panayiotis Vlamos, Head of the Department of Informatics and Director of BiHELab at the Ionian University, presented his lab’s work on computational biomarker models for neurogenerative diseases -a new approach for studying and diagnosing complex, multifactorial diseases like Alzheimer’s, using the latest tools of bioinformatics and mathematics to process and combine input from diverse data points.
